Acceptable Use
Acceptable Use Policy
askghost is an opt-in feedback channel for SaaS operators. To preserve deliverability and protect end users, the following rules apply to all sending activity.
1. Consent
- Recipients must have given prior, verifiable opt-in consent (typically when signing up for the Customer's product).
- Purchased, scraped, or rented address lists are prohibited.
- Cold outreach (sending to addresses without a pre-existing relationship) is prohibited.
2. Content
- The Service is for product feedback and customer research, not marketing broadcast.
- You must not send: phishing, malware, illegal content, harassment, adult content, gambling promotions, or content that violates the AWS SES Acceptable Use Policy.
- Subject lines and sender identity must accurately reflect the sender and the message purpose.
3. Compliance with email standards
- Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe header (RFC 8058).
- Customers must publish DKIM, SPF, and a DMARC policy on their sending domain (askghost provisions DKIM automatically; SPF and DMARC are the Customer's responsibility).
- Bounce and complaint feedback is processed via AWS SES and applied to the Customer's suppression list. Bypassing suppression is prohibited.
4. Rate and volume limits
New tenants are subject to a progressive ramp-up cap (Day 1: 50 / Day 7: 3,000) to protect upstream sender reputation. Plan limits are enforced in real time.
5. Enforcement
Violations may result in immediate suspension, termination, and (where applicable) report to AWS SES Trust & Safety. We reserve the right to refuse service.
6. Reporting abuse
